FAI Spring Day in Vallebona

Celebrate the arrival of spring with us in Vallebona at the XXXII edition of the Spring FAI Day, a must-attend event for lovers of history, art, and natural beauty. On March 24th, from 10:00 to 18:00, immerse yourself in the cultural richness of our country, discovering hidden corners and lesser-known gems of the Italian heritage.

Access is free and does not require a reservation. Let the welcoming desks in Piazza della Libertà guide you and venture through the village to discover the Piazza dei Quattro Elementi, the Loggia dell'Aria, the Parish Church of San Lorenzo, the Oratory of the Nativity of Mary Most Holy and many other historical sites, such as an ancient oil mill renovated into a restaurant-bar and the studio of a local artist. The local production, such as oil and jams, will be one of the many authentic experiences you can live.

Do not miss the performance of the "MH Band" at 17:00 in Piazza XX Settembre and let the young and prepared Apprentice Cicerones® from the Angelico Aprosio High School of Ventimiglia accompany you through the story.

For those who want to explore further, a naturalistic walk through the rural churches is available by reservation, for a small contribution.

And now a bit of logistics:

• Clothing: we recommend comfortable shoes suitable for walking along the sloping and descending alleys.

• At lunchtime all the restaurants will be open to welcome visitors with dedicated menus for relaxing seated at the table: “Dagli amici Bistrot”, “Il Giardino”, “Bene”, “Iter”, “U Carugiu Pizzeria” or taking advantage of Street Food opportunities “Cà du Nonu”, “Il gusto giusto”, “Il forno artigianale De Benedetti”.
  Remember that the specialty of Vallebona is the ravioli cu pesigu with Communal De.Co. designation.

• For cars, there are a couple of free car parks (not huge) at the entrance of the village but there will also be an active shuttle bus service running non-stop from 10 to 18 between Bordighera train station and Vallebona.
  
  Extremely useful service also for those who will come to live the day by moving by train

• Vallebona can also be easily reached by bicycle with a ride of about 4 km from the Bordighera seafront or on foot climbing up the Borghetto valley.

• The open sites are all inside the historic center of the village, where you move on foot.
