Saturday, August 10th Vallebona celebrates its patron saint: St. Lawrence, martyr, Levite, and minister of worship.
The statue of the Patron Saint arrived in Vallebona in the year 1854 from a French location, probably donated by some emigrated resident of Vallebona. It was placed in its niche built in the year 1856.
Saturday at 5:30 PM Solemn Mass in the presence of authorities, followed by a procession with the Confraternity of San Carlo and the Confraternity of San Bartolomeo, and the municipal band.
The Saint will pass through the alleys of the historic center and then into the main squares of the town to ensure his protection and vigilance over all the citizens.
In the evening, everyone will be looking up to watch the falling stars.
