Vallebona welcomes AGTL: a day of art, culture, and local flavors
On Friday, November 22nd, Vallebona hosted a group of tourist guides from AGTL – the Ligurian Tourist Guides Association, Imperia section.
The event began with the members' assembly, held in the multipurpose hall of the Municipality. Afterwards, the guide Simona Gibertini led her colleagues on a training visit to explore the artistic and cultural aspects of the village. Highlights of the visit included the 16th-century Maestà housed in the Oratory of the Nativity and the new AreaArte exhibition space, which enhances the village’s rich cultural heritage.
Vallebona, awarded the Orange Flag in 2021, continues to win the hearts of Italian and international tourists with its well-preserved historic center enriched by contemporary artistic interventions. A hidden gem that reveals itself after crossing the picturesque Porta della Madonna.
The guides were welcomed by Arianna Guglielmi, the Councilor for Tourism, and the head of LigurianLife, the tourism agency managing the village’s tourist information point (IAT).
The morning concluded with a tasting of ravioli, a local De.Co. specialty, allowing guests to savor the authentic flavors of the local tradition.
This initiative is part of AGTL's ongoing professional training project and the tourism development efforts promoted by the Municipality of Vallebona.
